Stack Overflow Developer Survey 2024. The stack overflow annual developer survey is conducted to gather insights into the developer community's preferences, challenges, and trends. We asked professional developers to tell us about what impacts their productivity at work, how often it happens, and how much time it takes out of their day.
It had 19 questions, received ~2,500 responses, and sql was the most popular programming language. In may 2024, over 65,000 developers responded to our annual survey about coding, the technologies and tools they use and want to learn, ai, and developer experience at work.
